1. Please make sure that you have met the system requirements to run Wimba.
2. Click here to run through a system diagnostics check to ensure your computer is compatible with Wimba. Make sure all tests are completed successfully before using Wimba.
Note: When prompted by a Java applet box asking for permission to run Wimba's applet, it is recommended that you click "always". This way you will never be prompted by the java applet again to use Wimba. Please run this test before using Wimba, it will take less than five minutes.3. Please make sure you have latest versions of Java Runtime Environment (1.3.1) for your PC or MAC. Also, make sure that your preferred internet browser is up-to-date.
Safari is the recommended browser for MAC users.
Internet Explorer and Netscape are the recommended browser for PC users.
For users with sound problems (static, quality), please update the latest drivers for your sound card. Make sure you pass the diagnostic test without sound problems.Creative Sound Blaster Live, Audigy(2)
4. When loading Wimba, please be patient as it takes some time for the applet to load. Again, if you are prompted by a Java applet permission box, please click "always" and wait for it to load.
DO NOT navigate out of your browser window, this will cause your browser to freeze. (Load time varies, average time is about 30sec~1 minute on a 56k connection running Windows XP).5. Please contact us if our Wimba site fails to load for you.
