What is a Wimba Voice board?

A threaded message board in which users click on message titles to hear messages and speak into a microphone to post messages. The Wimba Voice Boards provide an outstanding user experience and have exceptional audio quality.

What is a Wimba Voice Direct?

Wimba Voice Direct is vocal communication in real-time. It's like a conference call through a computer, without fear of firewalls. Voice Direct can be used for interactive discussions or "broadcasting".

What system requirements are needed to use a Wimba board?

Please refer to our Wimba Checklist for detailed computer requirements and hardware/software related help questions. 

How do students and instructors use a Wimba board?

They will use it to "talk" or send oral messages to each other without restrictions of time or place.  

What do instructors need to create a Wimba board?

First, contact UCCLLT for a security password.  Then proceed to the following link to obtain your own username and password for Wimba.  Once you have obtained your login information, click on the link below to begin using Wimba.    

Once you have received a username/password:  Go to Board Creation Login.
